Landmark Specialty Practice Meeting

The October 4th-5th, 2004 Nurse Competence in Aging (NCA) meeting was a great success! Twenty-six specialty associations were represented at this landmark event. Meeting goals included furthering the three main NCA activity areas:

  • Enhancing geriatrics within specialty nursing associations
  • Promoting Gerontological Nurse Certification
  • Maximizing the relevance of ConsultGeriRn to specialty associations

The meeting identified technical assistance needs and opportunities, promoted networking and resource sharing along with collaboration among American Nurses Association - Specialty Nursing Association Partners in Geriatrics (ANA-SNAPGs), and discussed ongoing ANA-SNAPG participation.
