14 Specialty Nursing Associations Receive NCA Grants

Nurse Competence in Aging (NCA) is pleased to announce there are now 41 national specialty nursing organizations working to enhance care to older adults! Each association below has received a grant from NCA to offer their members substantive educational opportunities to enhance competence in aging.

Two-year IMPLEMENTATION GRANTS have been awarded to:
American Radiological Nurses Association (ARNA)
Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC)
Association of PeriOperative Registered Nurses (AORN)
Association of Women's Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care (NADONA/LTC)
National Association of Nurse Massage Therapists (NANMT)
National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA)
Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head-Neck Nurses (SOHN)
Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates (SUNA)
Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society (WOCN)

Nine-month PLANNING GRANTS have been awarded to:
American Society for Pain Management Nursing (ASPMN)
National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN)
National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP)

A two-year NCA Technical Assistance Grant has been awarded to the American Academy of Nursing Expert Panels on Acute and Critical Care, Aging, and Quality.
