Start a study group: What better way to study than with your colleagues! Get a group together and arrange to study and take the exam together. This network of colleagues can offer support, shared learning experiences, and make the process more rewarding.

FREE review course: The Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing offers a FREE online review course that examines the fundamental knowledge related to the care of the older adult that registered nurses must master to be certified as a Gerontological Nurse by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

NGNA resource-The National Gerontological Nursing Association's Core Curriculum for Gerontological Nursing is written in an easy to use outline format allowing for quick access to relevant information. The Core Curriculum contains up-to-date references and a practice certification test. Use the curriculum while studying for ANCC's gerontological exam.

Take the Gerontological Certification Practice Examination The American Nurses Foundation, provides a practice examination for those preparing for the associate/diploma and baccalaureate Gerontological Certification Examination. The practice exam consists of 50 items (whereas the actual exam is 150 items), and was constructed to approximate the content domains that are represented on the certification exam.
