Virtual Geriatric CDs, a CD-ROM Resource for Basic Science & Clinical Educators
- Geriatric patients are a wonderful resource for illustrating key basic science and clinical concepts as these patients experience periods of health and illness. To illustrate this progression of health and disease, each of our CD-ROMS contains a virtual library of over 100 audio, visual and print resources, built on a single patient, who ages 20-30 years. By integrating these resources into your lectures, case based discussions, role plays and/or grand rounds – we hope to achieve our ultimate goal: to provide a longitudinal perspective to issues commonly encountered with geriatric patients. A useful self study Guidebook including all five cases, will accompany the CDs for ease of use. http://www.mcw.edu/MedicalSchool/EducationalServices/FacultyDevelopmentResources/GeriatricsCurriculum.htm
- Geriatrics Fast Facts are accessible, concise, and clinically actionable 1-2 page reports on Geriatric topics applicable across medical specialties. Fast Facts are interdisciplinary, spanning the progression of medical education. They are applicable to all mobile devices and are printable. Users are free to download and distribute Geriatric Fast Facts for educational purposes. http://www.mcw.edu/Geriatric-Fast-Facts.htm
